About Ms. Michael C. Redmond, PhDc
Ms. Michael C. Redmond specializes in
Business Continuity Management, Emergency
Management, Crisis Management, Information
Security, Business Processes Reorganization,
Management Processing, and Regulatory
Compliance. Regulatory Compliance includes:
FFIEC, Sarbanes Oxley, Patriot, HIPPA, UCC,
Basal Accord, and NFPA 1600, NYSE's version,
known as Rule 446, and the NASD's Rules 3510
and 3520 and others. She is the CEO of
Redmond Worldwide, Inc. “Enterprise

Ms. Redmond has extensive knowledge in
Enterprise Risk Management. She has
experience in developing and implementing
systematic availability programs, post-event
operations, and streamlining operations
through availability and contingency
planning. Ms. Redmond has done many
performed as an Internal Auditor in a
consulting capacity for many firms
Enterprise Risk Programs. She has done
Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
Projects for many Universities,
Corporations, Government Agencies and the US
Military. Ms. Redmond has experience with
various applications including, Banking
Systems, Financial Applications, Accounting
Systems, Payments, Payroll, and Pensions as
well as Network Recovery, Telecom Recovery
and other areas of technology. Ms. Redmond
has prepared Business Continuity Plans for
such Data Centers with such technologies as
mainframes, local area networks, systems and
application software, and telecommunications
systems. She has been involved with
retrofitting and reconfiguring Data Centers
to serve as Hot Sites. She has conducted
both Physical Security and Building reviews
for facilities. She has consulted for
entities in the area of availability
planning, specifically relating to
End-to-End, Content and Architecture. Ms.
Redmond has consulted for a variety of
industries including: Financial
Institutions, Trading Operations,
Manufacturing, Utilities, Educational
Facilities, Government Agencies and the
Military.
Responsible for the development,
implementation, review and management of
business continuity and disaster recovery
plans for clients. Her ability to conduct
any and all types of business continuity
lifecycle planning and analysis projects
(e.g. Risk Assessments, Business Impact
Assessments). Ms. Redmond is experiences in
analyzing, planning and consulting in risk
management practices in technical
environments. She is known for her excellent
analytical, problem solving and
decision-making skills; verbal and written
communication skills; interpersonal skills
and negotiation skills. She regularly speaks
and teaches in areas of continuity/
information availability / disaster recovery
best practices, policies and procedures,
such as NFPA, ISO, NIST, FFIEC and etc. She
is adept at delivering presentations on
Continuity/Disaster Recovery topics to
stakeholder groups. She is a team player
with a track record for meeting strict
deadlines. Her knowledge of and experience
in disaster recovery, in particular the
technical restore procedures for systems in
multiple industry sectors as well as her
knowledge of network design concepts has
helped greatly in assisting consulting
clients. This coupled with her knowledge and
experience with systems analysis and
development has made her an asset for many
clients.
Ms. Redmond is currently pursuing a PhD in
Psychology specializing in Crisis and
Organizational Psychology. Michael holds a
Masters of Business Administration from
Fordham University. She is also a graduate
of Command & General Staff College in Fort
Leavenworth, where she studied strategic
planning; control and command; and control
in an emergency. She has completed the Civil
Affairs courses in the School for Special
Warfare, which encompasses planning in
various political environments. She holds an
Advanced Masters Certificate in
International Banking and Trading Operations
from American Institute of Banking, and a
Bachelor of Arts from Marymount Manhattan.
Michael serves on the Executive Board of
Contingency Planning Exchange Group. Until
her tenure, Michael was on the Board of
Directors for the NY Chapter of the
Communications & Electronics Association.
She is an Adjunct Professor at New York
University, where she teaches both Emergency
Management and Business Continuity
Management. She is a Certified Business
Recovery Planner; Certified Emergency
Manager; and holds two International Master
Level Certifications in Business Continuity.
Ms. Redmond serves on the Executive Board of
Contingency Planning Exchange Group. She has
also served as a Major responsible for
mobilization plans for all the radio &
television stations of the US Army all over
the world. Ms. Redmond is an Instructor for
Emergency Management and Business Continuity
for NYU’s Continuing Professional Education
Division.
